unable to start game, service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb) PLEASE HELP!

I got sims 3 followed by a few expansion packs a few months ago. I already cracked it and it worked fine. Suddenly when I got a DVD of high-end loft stuff, I didn't see it says there standalone (the DVD installs the base game as well) and then when I try to start the game I got an error message saying there 'files corrupted, please reinstall base game'. I unistalled all the expansions and the base game, and reinstall them exactly using the ultimate fix instructions, I got another error message saying 'unable to start game, service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)' I tried so many things, including unistalling the high-end loft stuff standalone from that DVD using the control panel and deleting Electronic Arts file in Program Files but still the same. During the setup for installing an expansion pack, there is a message asking whether I want to update the base game because it needs to be compatible with expansion packs. I pressed Yes. Seems that update is causing that error message since I installed that faulty DVD. I can only play sims 3 without expansion packs! Worse still, I can't seem to enter the game launcher as it shows another error 'Error during startup. Please see log for more details.' so I can't update the game manually! Please help! Just refused to play sims 3 without expansion packs and up-to-date patches. I'm in a lost!
