The Sims 1 crashing

I installed The Sims 1 Complete using the video provided. I received no error messages, however when I try to start the game up, it black-screens as if the game were starting up, and then crashes and returns to my desktop view with no error messages. I've been waiting for this game from you guys from a while now, what do I have to do to make it work so I can play?

Hello,
Welcome to the Forum!
Please run the .exe file as an Administrator - right-click on the .exe file and choose "Run as admin". That should make a difference.

I uninstalled and tried this and the same problem still persists.
