SIMS 3 Loading the back to desktop

So here it is. I have another problem about sims 3, actually its not my problem this is for my friend who also wants to play it. So when we open her SIms 3 it loads. Why we say it loads? Because when we click it turns black then the cursor become circle the loading sign. the after that we thought that it will work but it does'nt work. Instead it goes back to the desktop as if nothing happens.

So I check the Task Manager to see if its working but it shows nothing. i didnt see sims 3= running or sims3= not responding. please help us. Please do help us.
