Sims 3 stuck upon loading town

Hey everyone.
I followed the instructions to the very point and followed them twice now and still doesn't seem to be working. I have never had a problem with anything like this in the past but when I load a town (brand new save) it gets like half way then the music goes off and it just freezes and stays in the same place.

I have every single expansion/game

Was wondering if anyone else has come across this problem and fixed it?

If you have MODS, please remove it

or move the Electronic Arts document to other place and start the game don't worry it will regenerate again.

Not sure if I have mods. It doesn't say I have a mods folder or anything.

I have tried moving the folder to regenerate a new one.

I think I don't need anymore information thats high enough cause I believe even without video card you can run this with that kind of specs

not sure if Gamebooster, Computer Cleaner and Defragment Software would help you cause with that kind of specs you don't need those thing to run the sims

try to update your video card driver if it would help

It would seem that the card is up to date too

I am stuck haha

I normally have an understanding of what is going on but not this time.

it seems that your using 6000 series of video card

as of right now I don't have any idea how to help you except reinstalling the whole game but becareful of reinstalling the whole game cause there's a format on how to uninstall the sims 3 completely :3

did it stay frozen like forever or maybe for 3, 5, 10, 15 etc minutes only? If you have a certain number of mods that could be the cause. If that was the first time you play a new downloaded world it could be that the game was generating the cache files for the objects, but you said you were loading a save game right?

I had played on sims 3 on this computer before maybe like 1 or 2 years ago or something and had endless amounts of downloaded custom content and had a save then.

I then stopped playing on it and uninstalled it...

I now quite fancy playing on it again having lots of new expansions and such out so I downloaded it again and therefor starting a new save. The other being erased. When I choose my town I want to play on, it gets almost to the end loading, music stops and that gives me the indication that it stopped working as the green bar does not move any more.

I mean could me having previous custom content that long ago mess the system up?

Do you have custom contents that depend on patch version/expansion ? If yes then it could be the conflicting mods. Mine when loading a relatively new save also freezes and the music stops for a couple of minutes. I believe that in my case the freezing is caused by having too many custom contents.

Copy your saves somewhere else, if you see mods folder you can copy as well, and downloads in case it is filled with sims3 pack and you didn't backup. Delete all the files inside sims 3 folder (that is in my documents). You can keep options.ini if you want to retain your game settings. start a new game and see if the problem still persists.

1-2 years ago, Hmm did you put the custom content in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 folder, or did you put them in the Programs Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 folder? I know it was changed to the Document folder, just not sure how long ago.

If it is in the Programs Files, just delete the mod folder there, no idea where it would be in there tho, so will have to wait for someone else to say unless you can find it.

It was in documents ages ago and there is nothing there now that mention mods.

ofcourse it does

just like your internet browser too many internet cache may slow your browser

so you probably remove/clean it

Tried backing up and removing this folder completely: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 ?

If you got it to work a few years ago, there shouldn't be a issue now, unless Uninstalling it didn't remove everything, which case you probably should uninstall with a uninstaller program the one Admin says is it Revo Uninstaller? But then will need to still go through your registry and make sure you remove The Sims 3 entries, just to make sure you can do a "clean" installation of The Sims 3.
