Apartment edit issues.[SOLVED]

I wanted to edit the area around my Sim's apartment (playing a Tron sim, so I wanted to make the windows and walls outside his unit more techy with Futureshock stuff) and while I can do it with the proper cheats, when I try to go back to Live Mode it just sits there... little wheel a'workin', but I can't access anything else. Task manager says it's running and not stalled, but I can't do anything else.

All of my mods are up to date for 1.42, so... what's the issue? This is the first time I've modified outside a Sim's apartment space, and the first time I've experienced this buy/build issue.

Okay, I can edit the wall/floors but when I go to put in different doors it glitches. I was able to add in windows without issue, but doors and different lights seem to be triggering it. I tried turning the cheats off before I went back to live and that didn't help.

Aaaannnndddd.... found the issue. Those doors were set as NPC doors with people living in them. Once I evicted them and took over the whole floor, it went just fine.
