Never done anything like this before - need help with expansion packs?

Alright, so what you need to do is install all the expansions/stuff packs you want. Once they are all installed go to the 'Fix'. Open the {#}crack{/#} folder. Copy it what is in that folder. Then open a new window. Go to you C/: drive. Once in there, go to Program File (x86), Then to the Electronic Arts Folder. Then The Sims 3 folder. From there go to the Game folder not Gamedata. The go into the Bin folder. This is where you stop going from folder to folder. DO NOT ENTER THE bin folder. Yes there is a difference between then Bin and bin folders. But once in the Bin folder right click and hit paste. It'll ask you to replace the files. Yes you want to replace the files. Only replace them. DO NOT KEEP BOTH. If you keep both it will not work for you. I really hoped this helped and I hope I didn't step on any toes. I just know how confusing this can be with all the different downloads you have to get.

I really do hope this helped lxbas. Never done this with a authorized copy before but it should still work. Basically what you are doing is changing out a couple files. And the instructions are a little confusing, and to me, not so straight forward. If this continues you might just want to uninstall the game completely and start from scratch. I know that is painful. Trust me. I got a bad copy once from somewhere else and lost 3 years worth of TS3. Good luck lxbas and let everyone know how it goes for ya.

Mods I really hope I didn't step on your toes. :-/

Sims 3 won't start after game loader [SOLVED]

[mention]americakay[/mention] wrote:Thanks so much. Definitely fixed the issue! Now if i want to download any other expansion packs can i just install them or will i need to still do the {#}crack{/#} folder?

Most of the time the Expansion Pack should work just fine after just installing it. But if you do get any issues, the most likely fix would be to apply the Manual Patch and the Ultimate Fix again (Steps 2 and 4-5 from the Guide above).

If you want to be completely sure, then yes, applying the # Crack folder from the Ultimate Fix again won't do any harm and will guarantee that the Expansion Pack works fine.

Let us know if you have any other problems, or questions. Or if you consider the problem to be solved, then let us know so we can close the topic. Very Happy

How exactly do I need to do the cracking?

fbmm wrote:I have a similar question. I have the base game installed and now about to install some EPs. How exactly do I need to do the cracking?
- first apply the crack from the basegame folder
- install EPs and after every single one, apply the corresponding crack until Generations
- after Generations, just install remaining EPs
- patch the game
- lastly apply the crack (from eps released after generations folder)
Is it okay? Do I need the #crack folder during this?

Just to be clear, you ARE trying to do this on a Windows system, and not on Mac OS ? The link of Sven focusses on Windows only.

What he said. Thanks for remembering!

I can't copy the TSLhost.dll from the crack, tells me I need permission. Not even Carlos fix thing works. What to do?

Oh yeah, sorry. Here it is https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t17678-permissions-error-when-copying-cracked-files-fix

I can't get a screenshot now because it's actually for my GF that I'm doing this. I can't access her computer now but I can do it tomorrow I think. I'm sure she's copying to the installation location and not the ISO because all the other files worked. It's just the last {#}Crack{/#} files that won't let me copy them.

Also she is admin on her computer, all the other TS3(w) (TSLhost.dll) files etc worked. I'm really confused to why this one won't let her copy it. I installed the computer for her and made her administrator.

I download patch and fix from https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v1-67-fix-manual-patch
I havn't try to run game yet because I'm confusing about crack.

here's the question
1. Which files I have to put in my sims 3 folder? {#}Crack{/#} or Base Game?
2. Do I need to put all other file in ulti fix into my expension folder that I have too? or just sims 3 base?
3. from '2.', If I have to put ulti fix file into all of my expension folder.
The folder "All expansion packs released after and including Generations" will be put into Generations expansion and any expansion after Generations that I have right?

Sims 3 : install another EP

//MOVED
Hello,
After installing University Life (or any other expansion), copy the files from the {#}Crack{/#} folder of the Ultimate Fix (those from the torrent are out of date) to the base game location.
That's all you need.

I have the authentic base game, does that change the installation process? [SOLVED]

Hi! Ok so you need to apply the manual patch. After you are done with that, install the rest of the expansions. Then just apply the crack found in the {#}crack{/#} folder of the ultimate fix to the base game bin location. After that, you should be able to play with no issues. If you require any further assistance be sure to let us know so that we can help you further. Happy Simming!!

[Sims 3] Seasons requires disk (original game and pirated packs) [SOLVED]

If you have any mods or custom content, please make sure these are up to date as well. I would suggest running the manual patch once again and then reapplying the crack located in the {#}Crack{/#} folder of the ultimate fix. By doing this, it should correct the issue you are having with seasons requiring a disk.

The Sims 3 fix MAC problem

I've been trying to make this work for 4 days now and nothing seems to work out for me...
Firstly I've tried the Sims 3 complete collection but I came out empty handed, although I've followed the instructions carefully. Now I'm trying to make it work by downloading separately the base game and the expansions I want.
So I downloaded the Sims 3 base game and two expansions packs (70s,80s,90s Stuff & Diesel Stuff).
I followed the instructions exactly as they are mentioned in the Sims 3 fix MAC, I've updated the base game using the patch needed, I installed the two expansion packs, I replaced the necessary files and finally I paste the files from the {#}CRACK{/#} file to the Contents/Resources/trangaming/c_Drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin/, but when I try to start the game, I get a window with "an unknown error occurred" message. So I'm in an dead end... If someone has any suggestions I would be grateful...
Btw I'm using a Mid 2010 MacBook (2,4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB).
Thanks in advance!!!!
