Using Windows 7 and Daemon Tools Lite

Hi,
I am following the directions in the .txt file installing the Sims 3 Base Game, but the first time it asks for disc one, it rejects using the startup disc because "GameData/Shared/Packages/FullBuild1.package" is not on the startup disc.

Hi,

First, Mount both Images. When the Installation asks for Disk 1, click 'Browse' and select óne of the two Mounted Images. If you get an error, just click the other Image you Mounted. When the Installation asks for Disk 2, do the same. The Installation should go on now.

If you don't really understand the above, watch our Installation Video on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWNCFdqqNIg

You still have got the problem even after watching the Installation Video, you can Download TeamViewer from: http://www.teamviewer.com/download/index.aspx By using the Program we can control your mouse for a certain time and Install the Game fór you. Feel free to ask for more information about this.

Ok. I saw the video. On the video, it only asked for disc one once. I followed the instructions in the download. It said to start the startup disc, and when it asks for another disc, click on the startup disc again; when it asks for another disc a second time, use disc one. I started the start up disc, then when it asked for another disc the first time, I used disc one, then it didn't ask for another disc. But when I launched the game, it said I could not use the EA Store, Exhange, or anything else there because the game wasn't official. I did not try to load the game itself. Is this supposed to happen?

Yes, this is normal, since it's not an original copy of the Game.

But how many times should it ask for the next disc? And why does EA say your game is unofficialbut it doesn't say that for other Sims 3 downloads?

It should ask once, for disk 1. But you have finished installing, right?

What do you mean "... it doesn't say that for other Sims 3 downloads?" ? Like which other Downloads?

Before all this, I tried installing Sims 3 from another source. It didn't say that their game was unofficial on the welcome screen, but when I tried to load the game, it said the game was not authentic. For your Sims 3 game, the welcome screen says the game is unofficial, but it still lets me play it.

It's normal that you get a white screen telling you your version isn't official, since it's not a legal copy of the Game.

Sims 3 Mounted, Trouble Installing Empty Re: Sims 3 Mounted, Trouble Installing

Post by Guest Wed 23 Jun 2010, 04:56

I am having a similar problem.

I'm trying to install the Sims 3. I get through most of the installation, but then when the bar is full and it's almost done, it
gives me "Feature Error Transfer" on the top, a filename, and "Error: Incorrect Function." I re-select the Disk 1 or Start Disk .iso, and have done this a dozen times, but it still won't ever fully load. I tried deleting files and restarting the installation, twice. They are BOTH correctly mounted, and I watched the Sims 3 installation video.

Please help!! Thanks

Hello,

First of all, did you extract áll the files in the .rar file to a folder on your desktop, béfore Mounting? If yes, please contact our Live Support through www.games4theworld.org when "Online" and ask them to Install the Game(s) for you.

//EDIT

MOD EDIT: Problem solved via Live Support. Topic Closed.
