Origin not running error? Empty Origin not running error?

I keep on getting the error  

"Origin is currently not running. Please make sure that Origin is running before attempting to play the Sims 4."

I know there are plenty of topics about this issue but I've never installed origin as I've always used the cracked versions and it was until around the most recent update where i attempted to download the Sims 4 again that I've been getting this issue anytime i try to load the game. 

Does anyone know of a solution?

Have you tried moving the 'The Sims 4' folder outside the electronic arts folder?
E.G. C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4   instead of   C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.

Yes I have but I continue to get the same error, I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times already.

If you haven't done so yet, please take your time and have a look at these 2 topics:

After doing these things suggested there, uninstall again and re-install in the following order: TS4 Base game -> Get to Work -> Get together. Of course, as the previous poster said, also make sure to move the installation folder "The Sims 4" out of Electronic Arts and into a different folder location. For example directly under Program files(x86) ?

If you find you are having difficulties with actually configuring the exclusions, try just turning off your anti-virus permanently, but if you are running Windows 10, then it means Windows Defender will become active, and you will need to focus on configuring exclusions in Windows Defender.

Again, if you are running Windows 10.
