Would it work to name the whole folder The Sims 4_old or something instead of moving it you think? And then change the name back?

Hmm i usually back up all my mods + saves to external drive every time i play. I think as a more safety measure just back up those files before renaming to sims 4_old.

Me too. I was able to load the game fine, but can't load any of my households. It's just an infinite loading screen for me.

how do we back them up? i've not long been using mods and cc (i only have mccc and a few bits of cc)

I'm not sure about others but for me i'll copy all the folders (mods/tray/saves) and paste them into my hard disk or desktop.

Please backup your mods and save files before installing the crack! That way if you get the same error I did you'll at least be able to keep your simmies

Move it out of the EA folder put it in program files
