error 12 and lags + stopped working?

hi, so i play sims 3 for awhile
when i add in some of raonjana hairs
my games got bit laggy
and most of the time i save,
it always will show up the error code 12 and sometime the stopped working prob
i remove the sims3.bad file but it still doesnt work
last time before i add in their hair
my games run quite smooth and 90% the game willl save with no problem AT ALL


although i add some thing(during summer ) in the festival park in moonlight world
does that cause the problem ?
of cause the thing i place actually has another thing placed (during fall )

what should i do ?
please help TT

Error 12 is pretty typical on 32bit systems where RAM is more limited than on a 64bit machine. You may be able to fix your issue by allowing Windows to allocate more space as virtual ram. my pc ram is 3GB
and it ady in it fullest :l

while playing sims3
if my "camera" or rotation the screen is smooth that mean it ok to save
but if it go laggy all of the sudden
it mean it has a prob during saving :l
i tried the "save as" and edit town save and it dint work.

That is some situation you have there. I was experiencing lag the past couple days ever since I put in the World Adventures expansion. so i tried removing the travelDB.package
my games run oh so smooth( idk isit becoz my sims in simla)

i continue my game where my sims is in simla
play for 3day(sims time) thn return home
i collected many birds and i immediately renovate my sims house by making another 7x14 room
after finish renovating it
i save my games incase of error (since the game run smooth)
then it happen
the stopped working prob
after i close my game(fail to save)
i remake my rooms(bit different )
and same thing happan

Some small tips that might help reduce these save-errors:

1) you could close unnecessary background processes (with the task-manager) and your anti-virus software, which might cause problems when it updates the same time you are saving.

2) I've heard that having too many items in your sim's inventory can cause problems; you should either sell unnecessary items or store them elsewhere (in the refrigerator, toy box, alchemist's desk or whatever).

3) I don't know if you have Seasons plus the latest patch installed, but if you do, then you can turn off the sim's "memories" in the options menu (you know, all these pictures in that album with texts like "your sim has learned a skill" or "your sim got burned the first time")...
If you don't you can either delete these pictures manually or use a mod (like MasterController).

4) Shorten your playing sessions ! That is, you should save more often, like every half of a sim's day or less.

5) Defragment your hard-drive.

6) Cache deleting might help too: Go to Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and delete the following:
CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
socialCache.package

...and all Files in the following folders:
WorldCaches
Thumbnails
DCBackup (delete everything but not the ccmerged.package)

fixed the stopped problem by playing it a little further after reconstruct my room again

but the error 12 is still there ==
i tried
- increase my pc usage ram (3gb to the fullest)
- tried playing it a little further ( waste of my time )
- removed the travelDC.package file ( idk did i name it right lol)
what else is there ? TT

Virtual ram is virtual - not real. It's hard drive space acting as ram. Anyhow, removing the TravelDB file gave me an idea.

- Back up your save (manually or with the tool linked below)
- Get my Save Game Manager: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t9449-ts3-save-game-manager-beta-new-year-release
- Run the program
- Click the "Utilities" button the the left
- Click the "Clean SNAPs" button
- Select your save and click OK
- Try playing again and let us know the result.
